What changes in 1.0.1:

  • The trial ended and you only found out when you clicked copy. Now the notice opens together with the program, with the purchase right inside it — and with the way out written down: carry on just to restore and check, which stay free forever.
  • The copy button looked normal and only locked after the click. Now the padlock is there first, with the reason — and someone who already bought and just needs the Store update reads that, not a request to buy again.
  • Bought on the Store with Vault open? The screen unlocks right then, with no closing and reopening.
  • Screen reader users got a button with no explanation. Now the lock says why, and the notice that turns up on its own is read out when it turns up.
  • Internal stability fixes, with nothing changed on screen.

When there is a new version, it lands here.

What shipped in 1.0.0:

  • Pick the folders, pick the drive: the copy only starts after you see the numbers.
  • Every copied file gets a SHA-256 fingerprint, recorded in a text file you can actually read.
  • The vault opens in File Explorer on any PC — without this program and without a proprietary format.
  • Nothing is deleted and nothing is overwritten: at the source, Vault only reads.
  • The 40-second rehearsal brings files back and checks them, so you do not find out at the wrong moment.
  • Unplugged the drive mid-copy? That is a pause, not an error — and it resumes where it stopped.
  • "Verify the whole vault" finds the files that the media degraded in silence.
  • Restoring and verifying never expire, even after the 15-day trial.
